My kind of love #15 Music to my wedding ears

Wedding in Spain

Hold the phones everyone, I have a newsflash. I’m saying it here first, of course, but I do believe I have found the new wedding anthem of the summer, which at the moment I can’t get enough of! Ask me again at the end of the season and we’ll see what my answer is, but for now I am in music heaven with this song.

This song has been on my radar for a while now, always coming on in the car when I’ve been out and about. But I never caught its name or never had my phone handy enough to Shazzam it and to find out what is was, until last week, that is!

A gorgeous couple whose ceremony I conducted had previously mentioned the name of the song that they would be walking back up the aisle to. I hadn’t heard of it before but I thought I’d wait for the ceremony to hear it for the first time. And so glad I did, because it was the VERY song that I’ve been hearing. This song!

Okay, admittedly the video is pure cheese and the same old bikini clad bollocks (excuse my French) that is so boring, and some of the lyrics are a bit, uhm I don’t even know what word to use here, but in general, this is a great, feel-good, party-time song!

When the DJ put this on, the bride and groom danced off up the aisle, as did their wedding party, as did all of the guests who followed, including the grooms eighty year old grandfather. Yes people, It is one of those songs. And I am also going to predict that it will fast replace Pharrell William’s Happy, which was definitely the wedding anthem of last year.

So that’s it folks. The newsflash is over.

If I am lucky enough to be marrying you this summer and you do choose this song for your ceremony, then please don’t be surprised to see me boogying along with you. Because I will be.

That’s all I’m saying.

Wedding in Spain

Yes we will dance down the aisle to finish off our ceremony!

Oh sorry, one more thing. This, I predict will also be another big wedding anthem for this year and funnily enough, the video is wedding-related too. So I think if you can see fit to put this in your ceremony, you’ll be on to a winner. Are the couples in the video real, though? I would love to know.
