Although, my wedding season of 2014 is yet from being over, I would need to hear a lot (and I mean, a lot) of any other song for it to even be a contender for this award, and as that isn’t going to happen, I can say confidently that the song that most brides (and grooms) walked down the aisle to this year was…
And if it wasn’t this version that was played, it was this one…
And if it was none of these versions played, I also heard various renditions on guitar, ukulele, violin and acapella, by professional musicians and great amateurs alike. One couple had this song not only at the start of their ceremony but at the end too! It is a beautifully emotive song, so you can see why it is so popular and with me being a Twilight franchise avoider, I had no idea it had come from that!
But do you know what? I’m actually still not sick of it yet and still feel a little tear come to my eye when this song starts. Thank goodness for that!
