Why I’d love to be nominated for the Cosmopolitan blog awards 2015

Okay, beautiful people. It’s awards’ season again in blogging world and I thought I would ask you all a massive favour in showing some support for the blog that you have already been so loving and loyal towards.

Last year, when I won the Bloggers’ Lounge Best Wedding Blog award, not only did I fall off my chair (and actually hurt myself) but I simply couldn’t believe the amount of support that I’d gotten from you, my little community out there. It was such an amazing honour and totally confirmed to me that writing this wedding blog, for people like you, is the best thing that I could ever do.

You all know that I don’t write this blog to win awards or for any other snazzy accolades, but that I write to share my passions and to spread the word to inspire couples to have unique and personalised ceremonies. If one person reads any of my posts and comes away with some mind-blowing, inspiring and useful information, then that in itself is amazing and allows me to tick off one weeny thing from my very big list of ambitions.

So although the goal of having a virtual shelf full of blog awards, is not why most bloggers blog, awards are very important. They can really help to give blogs platforms that they didn’t have before and to put fab blogs under the noses of people who would be interested in them, which after all is the number one point of a blog; to build and engage a community of like-minded individuals. And what’s more to receive an accolade from Cosmopolitan Magazine, which I not only bought when I was younger, when I still bought hard copy magazines, and whose editorial style I love (you must read their take on news and entertainment) it would be so amazing to receive an accolade from them.

This blog is not the biggest, most popular wedding blog and a long way from being up there with the big girls and boys. There are thousands of wedding blogs out there, amazing ones too. But this blog is definitely a unique one, one that offers a focus and perspective on wedding ceremonies that others only touch on, if at all. And I’m extremely proud to provide a unique wedding voice in an already loud and bustling wedding blog world.

Here’s what you need to do

Click on this link to go to Cosmopolitan online.

Once you are there, you need to add your email address, then add the url of the blog www.engagedandready.com, then you need to say that it isn’t your blog via the drop down menu (as you can nominate yourself, as I already have!).

Then you need to select the blog category: Best for Bridal

Then lastly, it asks you to add a few words about why the blog should be nominated. So feel free to add words like ‘it rocks’, ‘it’s amazing,’ ‘it’s a great wedding resource,’ whatever goodness you want to add! And then submit your nomination into the invisible hands of someone very important, who has the power to make blogging dreams come true!

Here are some other reasons that might help inspire you…

1) It’s the only wedding blog to focus solely on wedding ceremonies
2) It’s fun, unique and informative
3) It’s jam-packed full of useful wedding tips and trends, plus real weddings

Thank you guys so much. I appreciate that this is a good chunk of time out of your already precious day. So thank you all for your time and efforts.
