My Kind of love #6 – Winning and winning

What a week! I can hardly stop smiling for all of the good, happy things that have taken place this week and we are just days away from Christmas too, so happy, happy times ahead.

An Award Winning Blog

glitter-winner-twitter-badgeWell, I guess I must start with my award win, my most recent and proudest achievement. Earlier this week, I found out that I had won this prestigious award after being shortlisted from hundreds of wedding blogs down to five back in November.

It really feels so lovely and warm and wonderful to win an award, my first ever too for a blog that is just a few months old. I will hold on to these feelings for a long time to come.

Thanks to all of you who voted for me and who continually read, participate and support my blog. Awards are great recognition for the work that us bloggers do, but my best and most favourite recognition is knowing that my blog is well received and loved by all of you out there. So thank you all for reading! I’m very much looking to bringing you more of the same for 2015.

In the Wedding World

Yes, they can be cold and even sometimes a little grey but there is something special about them that taking place at this festive time of the year makes them so heart warming. My last winter wedding was back in February for the gorgeous Maria Jose and Ed. I absolutely loved MJ’s ruffled dress and snug faux fur jacket. Because I am obsessed with Games of Thrones I immediately started making comparisons to her dress and what I felt was a very GOT styled gown, but MJ kindly assured me that she’d never even seen the show!!! I still think it has that luxury medieval look to it, which I love!

Are you having a winter wedding? What made you choose to have it at this time of year? Good luck to any of you who have winter nuptials coming up. I’d love to hear from you and any unique ideas that you have for your ceremony.

Well, I think this is probably my last My Kind of Love before Christmas. So I hope you all have a fabulous festive period with your nearest and dearest. And here’s to 2015 getting even closer, and with it, some of your weddings. Yikes!!!!

Wishing you a
